The experimental ISAR imaging radar has the ability of searching detectionand imaging recognisation of ship targets at sea, control of radar itself is one ofthe most important part of system control. The design of radar system control isbased on a total consideration of its characteritics, necessity, feasibility,operability, environmental conditions requirements and other factors.System control includes powering control, parameters and state control,process control, equipment condition monitoring and work log. Under the systemcontrol, the radar system can work normally. The radar system consists oftransmitter, servo subsystem, the receiver channel, frequency synthesizer, signalprocessor, operating platform and terminal display. The system can achievepowering, self-test and initialization, then judge the corresponding responses.Parameters and two work modes between detection and imaging are set duringthe working period. The status monitoring is executed at the same time.After the analysis of system control function, the system control is designedin modules. On the basis of radar composition, the structure of system controlsoftware is designed. Control system is divided into a network communicationpart, work timing control part and status monitoring part. According to thefunctions, requirements, features of each part, detail designing andimplementation process of each part are introduced.The software programming environment is the Windows system, and theprogram is completed by C++language. Function modules are prgrammed inseparated classes, some of which are derived from MFC. In order to achievebetter multi-tasking, multi-threaded program is applied. The design of interactiveplatform interface is based on the dialog class, which is convenient for operatorto complete control of the radar system.
