In the era of outbreaks of science and technology, as the representative of theadvanced technology, The Radar is gradually evolving into a mature technical area. TheOriginal cause of producing Radar is the Strong Military requirement. With thedevelopment of the theory on radar, the function the radar can do is becoming more andmore in the day passed. The radar can only be used to measure the distance and theAngle in the days before, but now days some new constitution radar is developed to domore things.The purpose of the paper is to simulate the function of measuring distance by radar,with the core processor TMS320F2812, So that we can provide the experimentequipment for the undergraduate students to demonstrate the basic theory of measuringdistance on the Electronic system classes. This can also help the students have a bettercomprehend on the theory, can also develop a better interest on the course. Havingcompared some different constitution radar, we at last completed the function ofmeasuring distance on the theory of the Saw-tooth wave FM continuous wave radar.Finally we completed two basic modules, the module for the generation of theSaw-tooth wave and the part for the signal processing of the mix frequency signal.The part for the generation of the Saw-tooth wave is generally consisted of theAnalog circuit. In this part we also need to obtain the pre-distortion data. On analysishow the signal’s nonlinearity affect on measurement precision, we realize theimportance of the pre-distortion data.Core processor chips we choose for Signal processing is the TMS320F2812produced by the TI company. The chip is manufactured of the CMOS technology,so itcan satisfy the need on the Power consumption and the precision. In this part wegenerally complete the function of Data communication and Signal processing.The part for the Signal processing that is done on PC is developed on theIntegrated development environment of Microsoft VC++6.0. In this part we generallycomplete the function of signal processing and the r receiving of the data, and so on.When System commissioning, we first debug the parts independently, then we takethe overall test. In the paper we finally complete the function of distance measuring.
