A Research on Optimization of Large-cargo Transportation Programs Based on the Cross-entropy

With the rapid advance of the process of industrialization and national policy guidance,the size and number of national key construction projects is growing, Industrial structure in astrategic shift stage, large and heavy equipment has become a trend.Large logistics carrierheavy and large equipment which can not be dismantled, due to the importance of carriage theobject,from the production to the installation site through vehicle transport, transporttechnology and quality requirements are high. How to ensure that heavy and large equipmentsafe and economical transportation, related to the progress of the construction of key projectsand the development of the national economy as a whole.In order to study the problem of large-cargo transport optimization, the problem isabstracted into a combinatoral optimization problem. Large-cargo transportation as theresearch object, according to it characteristics, analysis of the large-cargo transportationprogram development principles, organization forms, and steps of formulated. Based on theanalyses of large-cargo transportation programs selection’s principles and factors,consideringthe transport time、the difference of transport capacity and the possibility of transshipping,this paper determines the optimal transportation combination modes, builds a optimizationmodel which can be used to choose the inter-city transportation programs base on minimizingthe transportation costs. This paper also proposes the cross-entropy algorithm that aims at theoptimal selection of large-cargo transportation programs and also gives the appropriatecalculation steps. At last, this paper uses the transportation project of Fuqing as an example,applies the transportation plan’s optimization model, gets the plan of the minimumtransportation cost, verifies the effectiveness of the optimization model and provides thesupport means for the optimal selection of large-cargo transportation programs.
