Powerline Communication (Power Line Communication) technology referred to as PLC technology is currently very promising broadband access technology is the use of low-voltage power line transmission speed data , voice, image , video and other multimedia services signals a means of communication . Because of its wide coverage, no wiring and easy connection and other significant advantages , is considered to provide \As people's living standards improve, the transmission speed of the network required to improve , how to improve power line carrier communication system performance to become a research hotspot. OFDM system channel estimation is one of the key technologies . This paper focuses on DFT channel estimation and LMS channel estimation has been improved. Channel estimation algorithm DFT only in the traditional channel estimation DFT establishment of a cyclic prefix threshold threshold , then this threshold is a threshold for the estimated CIR value , and further eliminate the noise , thereby improving the channel estimation accuracy . In the LMS adaptive channel estimation algorithm, the step size selection is a key issue . LMS in the study on the basis of the basic algorithm , and the current power line channel LMS algorithm analysis and study, found that the current relatively common LMS algorithm parameter selection there is a certain problem, we fix it at the same time and for the first parameter in the channel estimation the introduction of neural networks momentum accelerated LMS algorithm convergence rate , to better track the channel changes. Simulation results show that : improved algorithm is better than the original algorithm , has a certain practical value. Finally, we created a simple to use MATLAB OFDM system for transmission to the static color photographs , in order to verify the effectiveness of their algorithm .
