Information technology is considered to be "The4th Industry Revolution". Networktechnology makes people get information faster, more particularly, more precisely.E-commerce is based on this background. Shopping online is becoming one of the mostfashionable, most convenient, the safest way. More and more people choose shoppingonline and more products are sold online. Online meal ordering is a new type ofconsumption patterns after online shopping, and has achieved certain results in the cateringindustry competition. For catering industry it is the breakthrough of traditional cateringbusiness model, the traditional meal form is gradually turning to the network development,but due to various reasons, online order is still in development period, there are a lot ofspace to grow up.This paper discusses the system design idea, the basic module, and finally completedthe situation, finally presented a practical online reservation system for the mass. Thesystem uses the SSH framework and Java language to develop. The thesis work is asfollows:1. According to the meal ordering system using the object-oriented method to do adetailed needs analysis, the main function modules of the meal ordering system areanalyzed, and draw a UML use case diagram. it also analyzes the system character and thesystem business flow chart is given, at last it analyzes the system non-functionalrequirements.2. Design function modules of the meal ordering system, including the consumer frontmodule and background administrator and restaurant manager module, and the mainfunctional modules are analyzed and designed the business process. According to results ofthe requirements analysis, system data model was involved in the design, according to thedesign step of database, the final analysis and designs the database table structure of thesystem.3. The integration of SSH framework, running environment to build online mealordering system, ordering system uses the MVC design pattern at different levels, the mainfunction of the realization includes dishes query, the user ordering, recommended dishes,restaurant information management, diet news articles and order management..4. Test the reservation system’s main function modules, the effect is good. The reservation system uses SSH integration framework for the design, the systemhas high security, good scalability and easy maintenance features, and the success of thereservation system research and development, not only improved the catering industrycompetition, and to the consumer brings real convenient.
