The electronic license plate recognition system in this thesis is one of the popularresearch projects in recent years in China. There are many advantages of electronic licenseplate recognition system, such as high reliability, simple operation and low cost in vehiclemanagement.And there will be a good future of solving city traffic monitoring, roadcongestion and vehicles illegally operating problems, so the application prospect is very broad.Based on the RFID radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, the reader-writer ofelectronic license plate and electronic tags are designed. The Arm9processor, embeddedLinux operating system and nRF24L01transceiver controller are used in the handledreader-write device design scheme. The built-in micro controller and2.4GHz free frequencyband nRF24LE1integrated chips are used in electronic tag. In practical application, when thevehicles equipping with an electronic tag entering into the scope of reader-writer device, thereader-writer device will timely identify the vehicle information of electronic labels, andupload to the control management system. Through this way, the purpose of non-contactrecognition of license plate is achieved. In the article, the function and practical significanceof electronic license plate recognition system is introduced, especially the principle andcharacteristics of RFID radio frequency identification technology; Then a design scheme ofthe system is put forward, the structure of each module is provided; And then hardware designmethod of the electronic license plate recognition system is introduced, each part is given aprinciple diagram, such as: radio frequency circuit, memory interface circuit, USB circuit, etc.;the development environment is based on the embedded Linux, after the familiarisation withthe rf chip nRF24L01, the RF driver program is developed; then the electronic tagcommunication and application program of read er-writer based on Linux systems is designed,including radio frequency communication, encryption, serial port communication, interfacedisplay, etc.; After the test, the system basically achieves the anticipates goal, satisfied therequirements of using the radio frequency technology in the field of license plate recognition.
