Computer Aided Design is the process that use computer software to design and si mulate products and show the shape, structure, color, texture of new products.With the development of computer graphics and other related technology, computer-aided desig n software has been used in vast fields.Currently,the Computer Aided Design softwar e has been widely used in automotive, aerospace, electronics, architectural design, indu strial design.The AutoCAD which was developed by the Autodesk company and SolidWorks w hich was developed by the SolidWorks company and Pro/E which was developed by A merica Parametric Technology Corporation and UG which is developed by Siemens PL M Software Corporation is widely used by the majority of designers as a good represen tative of computer-aided design software in the design field, especially in the field of th ree-dimensional design,and are already household CAD softwares.SINOVATION which was developed by hoteamsoft is China’s first self-developed with international leading level of three-dimensional CAD/CAM software with hybri d modeling, parametric design, rich feature-based modeling functionality,comply with the design engineers operating habits and popular operating environment and interface.It provides industry-proven with international advanced level of CAM processing tec hnology, professional punching mold design, injection mold design as well as internati onally unique LFC design and processing, laser cutting control, electrode design and m anufacturing techniques,support for various domestic and international mainstream C AD data conversion, opening up a rich interface that enables users to secondary develo pment. Products release the first version in March on2009.Now,customers reached m ore than100and the effect is significantOne of the difficulties in three-dimensional CAD software applications is the dyna mic display in time of three-dimensional models.With the increase of information in th e three-dimensional model the data of model rise up quickly, the models load slowly a nd cause system crashes when browse and Interoperate the models.With the development of computer graphics technology, a number of effective tech niques and methods occurred for optimizing display performance in three-dimensional CAD software.This paper describes the technical solutions that optimizing the display performance of three-dimensional CAD software by the way of OpenGL VBO features and three-dimensional model LOD technology as well as lightweight approach, imple mentation and test in SINOVATION software.
