With the help of home-area network, Integrated Home Systems (IHS) becomes agood way to connect information equipment and residence equipment. Meanwhile, IHSis also a useful method to build a safe and comfortable living space; and meet people’sneeds of living, work, entertainment and communication; and it also can provide ahelpful means for safety precaution and community management. With the rapiddevelopment of the network and the great expanding of its coverage, comparing withthe past, the user’s consumption level has increased a lot, which also makes a sharpleap in the application and development of security system--it regards family propertyas the major protection target. However, there are also many problems with the homesecurity system. For instance, it is usually easy to be broken into and damaged, moreimportantly; it also has a single function. However, the most contradict ional problem isthat the security system with perfect functions is usually much more complicated andexpensive, which most of the users can’t afford.The security system refered in this thesis is an important subsystem of theIntegrated Home Systems (IHS). It includes three subsystems: a basic data maintenancesubsystem, a control subsystem for household equipment power and a security anddefense subsystem. Each of them also contains several sub-function modules. Thisfamily-oriented system takes full advantages of the built network in the community.Moreover it can make a closer combination of the home security and residential securitysystem. With a concrete and objective judgment of the real impacts and conditions ofIntelligent Recognition System, we can greatly reduce the quantity of unsecured spotswhich prevents the potential safety problem from the customers and also reduces theunnecessary losses and the incidence rates of accidents. On software, the system mainlyconsists of four parts: the client software, server software, adapter’s software andnetwork equipment software.In terms of hardware and software technology scheme, Integrated home remotemonitor system hardware includes the sensors, S3C2410microprocessor, memorysystems, optically coupled input, GPRS modules, output control switch, relay outputdrive circuit, GPRS modules, and user terminal cell phones. The system is composed ofthe nine parts, and its keep interaction and mutual influence. Communication module mainly used the GPRS expansion board. The control command and the alarminformation can be transmitted to the user by the way of Chinese text messages. On thesoftware part, the systems choose Linux as the embedded system. In addition, VI is usedas the system’s editor, and ARM GCC is cross-compiler. Overall, the Integrated HomeSystems can create a good environment for living security and out-going convenience,and actually, IHS will also move the quality of people’s living standards to the nextlevel.
