With the rapid development of semiconductor technology, deep submicron process technology matures, more and more large scale integrated circuit design and more complex, based on digital IC design IP core reuse based design approach from the timing driven development method, and has been widely used in SoC platform design.IP core interconnection method, the bus and the bus bridge protocol determines the design performance SoC platform. AMBA bus specification is defined by ARM, is a set of standard protocols based on ARM core SoC communication. AMBA3.0bus protocol with a high bandwidth, low delay, and design flexibility, etc., is the industry’s leading high-performance bus standard.With the rapid development of video technology, people, especially the demand for high-resolution video images and high frame rate video images is increasing. To meet the different formats of video image capture system requirements, design the image acquisition system based on AMBA3.0bus. This paper discusses the development of the first bus technology and image acquisition system, the overall design scheme proposed AMBA3.0bus-based image acquisition system. The second section describes the overall architecture of the system design and system used to select the device, and analyze their works. Then introduced the image acquisition system hardware module circuit design and system software development, software development and gives the flowchart.Image acquisition system for board-level testing, waveform simulation testing and logic analyzer test, in order to verify the reliability and stability of the system design. Experimental results show that other image acquisition, processing and display functions well.
