In the current, China’s communication to the foreign countries is in a weak position of the world, especially the English—language periodicals. Non-effective communication to the world always make misunderstandings about China. China’s communications to the world can be dated to times before the Anti-Japanese War. From The Voice of China, which aimed to introducing China to the world to the current English—language periodicals, China’s cross-culture communication has never stopped, and it also improve itself along with China’s social innovation while shoulder the responsibility to introduce China. Even during the national crisis, part of the intellectuals spread China’s situation by foreign-language periodicals in order to unite all the Chinese people for liberating our People. In order to clear the development of foreign communication and provide theoretical and historical basis, this paper take Beijing Review for example, using the document collecting and analysis, analyzes52periodicals of Beijing Review in2011from the following four aspects:publishing place, the constructing of editors, communication content and the view of the audience. China’s foreign-language periodicals always choose international metropolises as the publishing center, such as Beijing and Shanghai. They have got much attention from the national leaders since they were found. As important media of shaping national image, they were endowed with great expectations, and the editors teams were made up of senior experienced journalists which were deeply familiar with foreign society and culture. With the social innovation and development, these periodicals constantly make effort to position themselves, stabilize and expand audiences, and build foreign-language periodicals with Sinicism. Under the prosperous international information dissemination situation, the modern communication to the world need theoretical and strategic innovation. This paper take Beijing Review for example, analyze China’s strategy of communication to the world through its development, in order to provide some theoretical and practical help.
