With globalization trend continues to accelerate and more and more cross-regional IT projects ongoing, How the correctly manage communication in project management as many multinational companies have to face a prominent issue. Different from the traditional face-to-face communication based project mode, The implement of cross-regional IT project breakthrough time and geographical boundaries and project team members located in different countries, cities or regions, from different departments. Because of cultural differences, all various of communication tools, and project implementation of the distinct concept produced communication barriers, will further lead to the implementation of the project’s difficulties. Confront with challenge, how to communicate effectively, and what’s the most suitable for project management need to be solved. Currently domestic and foreign enterprises already have realize this problem, and gained some experience for corresponding strategy. Based on my experience and combination of specific case and practical work to explore cross-function project team communication problems and solutions for the research background, draw a conclusion of management constrains. Characteristics and selection of factors for its use of communication methods and tools to conduct research and analysis, also we can summed up the multi-national team in the effective communication methods and tools to use the suggested, and how to apply to the case of the actual implementation of the project to improve communication effectiveness in project management in order to provide the reference for other cross-function projects and foreign cooperation.
