Objective:androgen-induced baldness and scar baldness caused by some or all of the hair follicle atrophy and necrosis lead to permanent hair loss, which is not reversible alopecia, not only affect the patient’s appearance, also produced varying degrees of psychological shadows. The technique of hair renovation experience three stage, scalp reduction、flag surgery and hair autolranspIantafIon.However, most of the traditional method of repair methods is prone to the survival rate is low,scars apparent, appearance is not natural and other defects. In our hospital from 2003, we have adopted Follicular unit transplantation (FUT)treatment of patients with 61 cases of permanent alopecia to observe the effects.Methods:Retrospective analysis of plastic surgery in our hospital since the year 2003to 2008, the use of FUT treatment of patients with 61 cases of permanent alopecia information.First, in the advantages for the area posterior cranial were cut back benefits for the region that contains a complete strip of hair scalp organization, to split it into a series of graft hair follicles containing 1-4 monomers, and then the grafts implanted in the scalp missing the corresponding holes in the area of prefabricated. Patients were followed up at least 6 months to 1 year after, according to very satisfied, satisfied, dissatisfied, and null and void four criteria to assess efficacy of way questionnaire, and patients were randomly selected 10 check the status of hair survival.Results:The majority of patients after transplantation of hair are growing well. The hair survival rate is over 90%in 61 cases which were followed up 6 months to 1 year after operation. The appearance of recipient site is nearly the same to natural and donor site scar is not notable.The 90% patients were satisfied with the result of operation. Conclusion:In the FUT treatment of permanent hair alopecia, the survival rate is high, after the repair hair look is natural, the scar is not obvious, and FUT is an effective treatment of androgen-induced baldness and scar baldness.
