With the rapid development of information technology and the trend of economicintegration becoming increasingly obvious, the competition between the global iron and steelenterprise is increasingly fierce. Especially represented by3C of the modern business operatingenvironment has brought greater challenges for state-owned steel industry. On the one hand,customers demand becomes more personalized and diversified; on the other hand, thecompetition pressure from foreign giant iron and steel enterprises. Faced with the grim industryenvironment, the state-owned steel industry has turned to the enterprise management change andbusiness process management innovation. However, with the depth progress of the concept ofbusiness process management, the original way of business process management (BPM) instate-owned steel enterprise gradually has brought many drawbacks. For example, professionalprocess management organization is not set up, and process management evaluation system isnot mature. Therefore, research on building a scientific and reasonable evaluation system ofbusiness process management has an important significance for improving the business processmanagement level and strengthening the control on business process management of state-ownediron and steel enterprise.Firstly, the research describes the background and research significance, and comprehensiveanalyzes of the current situation of business process management both domestic and overseasresearches, and clears the research idea. Secondly, combs the business process managementrelated concept, maturity model theory and the application of the maturity model in businessprocess management. Third, the research analyzes the current situation of state-owned steelenterprise business process management and the problems. Based on the review of theory andanalyzing the situation, the research designs the business process management maturityevaluation model of state-owned iron and steel enterprise from seven dimensions, includingstrategic management, corporate culture, business process management, customer relationshipmanagement, human resource management, knowledge management, IT system management.The system includes seven level indicators and32secondary indicators, and through thequestionnaire investigation, expert scoring method to get the data, using grid access method andfuzzy Borda analysis method to determine the index weight, using fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation method determine the maturity level. Finally, by the empirical analysis, demonstratesthe effectiveness and scientific of evaluation system, and lastly puts forward suggestions.
