With the economic globalization, enterprises are facing much fiercer competitions. More and more petroleum or petrochemical enterprises consider reducing cost as uppermost competition method, and view materials procurement management as "second source of profit" of enterprise. The inventory cost is a very important part in the purchase cost, and controlling inventory cost has great significance to reduce total purchase cost.This thesis takes current status of material reserve management in SPC as the background. By comparing the difference between SPC and the other same type enterprises in present material reserve management, set improvement goals; By analyzing demand type in different materials, strengthen cooperation with the main suppliers, integrate supply chain resources, and explore the reserve strategies of various supply chain suitable for different demand type; Choose representative breed of goods and materials, try to implement reserve mode of supply chain, and evaluates implementation effects; Through implementing, evaluating, promoting the mode and deepening application, in meeting the precondition of ensuring material supply in the enterprise, in meeting the condition of increasing gains of each part on supply chain, promote to establish various kinds of new type reserve mode step by step. While avoiding the risk of material backlog and the risk of ensuring supply, gradually reduce the size of existing material reserve in SPC, and gradually improve the overall performance of material supply.
