Light industry in China has been prosperous in recent years, which has not only promoted sustainable development of Chinese economy but also solved a large number of employment issues, and it is an important force in national economy. However, with the continuous development of light industry and increasing fierceness of international competition, how to improve enterprises’core competitiveness through implementation of informatization has already become the most urgent issue confronted by light industry. What’s more, enterprise ERP system is high in price, and enterprises shall pay for purchasing the system, input hardware to build information center, and recruit staffs to strengthen informatization management, which are heavy burdens for a great many light industries. As a kind of computing technology of a new generation, cloud computation is developed with several technologies, such as distributed computation, grid computation, and utility computation, as background, which possesses many merits, such as economical efficiency and sharing. In particular, with Software as a Service (SaaS) model, users can directly use application software developed by service providers and deployed on cloud infrastructures. In addition, it is unnecessary for users to manage or control cloud infrastructures at the bottom, including operating system, server, storage, and network etc., neither allocate and deploy application software by their own. Therefore, it saves large quantities of inputs in software and hardware for enterprises in light industry, enhances management efficiency, and improves enterprises’competitiveness.The public cloud service platform in light industry is designed and realized in the thesis with the start of information construction of light industry and the research background of cloud computation. Main missions during researches are as follows: firstly, thoughts for solving information construction dilemmas in the light industry are proposed according to current situations and demands for information construction of enterprises in the light industry at home and abroad, via intensive researches on cloud computation technologies; secondly, the overall architecture for cloud service platform in light industry is built with the background of the light industry in Hunan province, and system design principles and technical routes are proposed; finally, the cloud service platform in light industry is designed and realized through analyzing the system’s demand analyses With the use of SaaS model, a set of total solution of information construction is effectively proposed for the light industry in Hunan province, construction problems for information management system of medium-sized and small enterprises in the light industry are solved, security solutions are provided, and a set of relatively mature operation pattern is formed, which have important theoretical significances and application values on promoting information construction of the light industry in Hunan province.
