In recent years, new enterprises in China’s economic development areincreasingly significant. More and more new enterprises actively play an importantrole in promoting scientific and technological progress and economic growth. On theone hand, the new venture has great mobility and flexibility. On the other hand, due togrowth disadvantage caused by the new birth of ventures, the new enterprises facegreater market risk and high risk of competition. Every year, there are part of newventures which cannot continue to operate because unlike the mature companies, theylack all the social networks and necessary resources. However, there is a smallnumber of new enterprises achieve rapid development. Why can the minority surviveand develop while the majority has been faced to the difficulty?China society have depth of emotional color,in which interaction among peopleis very important. Business behaviors are no exception. To establish goodrelationships with consumers, suppliers and various social network subjectstremendously impacts on the success of new enterprise development. And theinfluence of these social network relationships on the new venture reflects more in theprocess of integration of enterprise resources. The existing literature mainlyresearches into how social networks directly affect on performance of new enterprises.From a resource perspective, this article is to explore the middle path to those affectsby using the samples from new enterprises in Chongqing.In this article, based on Enterprise Social Network Theory and Resource-basedtheory, the social networks of newly created enterprises will be evaluated from twomain levels which are density and strength of relationship. Resource integrationprocess of new venture is evaluated by three structural dimensions, which are resourceidentification, resource acquisition and resource utilization. With the integration ofresources as the middle path, this process builds the Mechanism Model of socialnetworks of new ventures-the integration of resources-enterprise performance. Theresults of this study show that the newly created enterprise social networks can helpenterprises integrate resources. At the same time, the efficiency of resourceintegration of new enterprises has an important effect on improving enterpriseperformance. In addition, enterprise resource integration plays a significant intermediary role in the process which the social network is influencing theperformance.
