Research on Partner Selection for Enterprise Technology Alliance Based on Perspective of Symbiotic

With the accelerated pace of economic globalization, fierce technologicalcompetition forces the enterprises to set up technology alliance. Starting from the1980ofthe20th century, technology alliance has developed rapidly in Europe and otherdeveloped countries. Technology alliance provides enterprises with a mechanism ofresource-sharing, risk sharing and benefit-sharing, which is a typical interests symbiote.It is an important organizational change in the age of knowledge economy, and it hasbecome the most important strategic choice of enterprise technology innovation. Butpractice has proved that the most of technology alliances end in failure, one of the mainreasons is that they haven’t selected the right alliance partners. Thus, from theperspective of symbiotic this paper research on enterprise technology alliance partnerselection problem, which has an important theoretical and practical significance toenhance enterprises’ innovation ability and improve the level of enterprise anddevelopment, so as to promote science and technology capacity and innovation levels ofthe enterprise’s industry increasing, ultimately builds an innovation-oriented country.Combed through papers on the concept of the technical alliance of enterprises athome and abroad, motivation, management, partner selection and the symbiosis theoryafter studying the literature, from the perspective of symbiotic systems analysis of thetechnical alliance of enterprises, enterprise technology alliance in real terms is also asymbiotic system, with its unique characteristics, reasons and external conditions. Onlyin this way can we formulate a reasonable selection of alliance partners, empiricalanalyses of the scientific method. Subsequently under the perspective of the symbiosistheory, paper identifies indicators of partner selection system and constructs anevaluation model for enterprise technology alliance mutualism partners. The procedure ofevaluation model is to give out evaluation form to a specific area of technology expertsand scholars first, which aims to collect basic credibility allocation of the alternativeenterprises, secondly to apply D-S algorithm based on evidence theory to process data,thirdly to compare the comprehensive evaluation results to choose the best alliancepartner. And the paper uses representation of construction machinery industry in Guangxienterprises L’s case to analyze technical alliance of this enterprise, in order to validatetheory’s proper and operation’s relevance of the model.Based on the symbiosis theory, this paper builds an enterprise technology alliancepartner selection model, dividing the indicator system into two parts: main parametersand essential parameters, and then the symbiotic requirements reflect in the selection.Main parameter indicators reflect basic external conditions of enterprise, and essentialparameters indicators reflect competitive advantages and core competence of enterprise.Through using the main and essential parameters, the paper comprehensively valueswhether the enterprise is compatible with the alliance requirements or not. What’s more, this paper combines symbiosis theory and D-S arithmetic in evidence theory together toresearch on enterprise technology alliance partner selection theoretically and empirically,which can be said to open a window for the innovative research of enterprise technologyalliance partners.
