Blue shrimp is a special aquatic product with high economic value. Natural blue shrimp resources have declined sharply because of over fishing and water pollution from the end of80s to the90s. Blue shrimp has been treated as a famous product and the focus of adjust breeding structure because more and more economic value. That was why the price of blue shrimp rising sharply. Blue shrimp culture reached its peak period. Every level of the government in Jiangsu province had increased the support strength in recent years. Although the blue shrimp culture in Jiangsu Province started early,farmers have been in a rather dispersive breeding situation. Shrimp culture has entered into small profit era with the rising cost. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the comprehensive competitiveness of the blue shrimp industry chain to explore the ways and measures to upgrade Jiangsu shrimp industry chain system competitiveness.This paper studies blue shrimp industry chain system competitiveness, the in-fluencing factor and the current situation based on industrial chain theory and competitiveness theory. According to the design principles of the shrimp industry chain system competitive power evaluation index, this paper builds an evaluation system model of the blue shrimp industry chain system. And further more, this paper studies the influencing factor by using the structural equation model.This paper uses AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to analyze the data obtained from the expert interviews and field researches based on the constructed blue shrimp industry chain system competitiveness evaluation model. We concluded that the current competitiveness of blue shrimp industry chain is good. The two of all aspects,shrimp species cultivation and breeding, are prominent. Breeding is even much better than species cultivation. The competitiveness of other aspects, such as marketing, fishery research, technology promotion and market intermediaries are just normal. When author analyses the detailed indicators, we can find that fishermen’s profit satisfaction, adaptability of high-quality shrimp species are two key factors; Sales completion rate, innovation of high-quality shrimp species and government support are important factors. When author does further analysis, it shows that breeding loss rate belong to breeding which has the highest score and coverage of high-quality shrimp species belong to shrimp species cultivation which has the second highest score are at a disadvantage. Beside these two, good reputation and brand influence belong to market intermediaries are needed to be strengthened. And through the structure equation model, the importance from high to low of each factor of the agriculture chain management to the competitiveness of the blue shrimp industry chain is value chain management, information chain management, organization chain management, logistics chain management and technique chain management.In order to improve the competitiveness of the blue shrimp industry chain based on the above analysis, this paper makes specific recommendations from five dimensions of value chain management, information chain management, organization chain management, logistics chain management and technique chain management.
