The world economy is in a relatively peaceful period of development, the world’s general economic recovery and sustainable development, a general increase in people’s economic income, life has been a greater degree of improvement, a large number of travel for people laid a solid material foundation. With the advances in science and technology, the degree of automation of the production of continuous improvement of labor productivity and thus constantly improve, and many Western countries began to implement the five-day work, increased leisure time for people to travel in time to create the conditions.In this paper, the Mongolian tourism industry, an overview of its history, beginning, development, characteristics. Historical data and comprehensive discussion of its economic and social issues related to; detailed analysis of the history of the characteristics of the process and impact of tourism, involving more backward aspects.The main content of this article is:The first chapter is foreword:topic’s reason and significance, the research devoted to the development of tourism in Mongolia and the course, the position and the role of tourism in Mongolia.The second chapter is devoted to the status and characteristics of tourism development in Mongolia:tourism and supporting industries an overview of the characteristics of tourism development in Mongolia.The third chapter is devoted to the development of tourism in Mongolia. It includes the overview of special features of tourism such as seasonal travel, infrastructure’s poor, tourist attractions scattered, relatively undiversified tourism products, and management system aspects, quality of service, promotion tourist’s brands abroad.The forth chapter is devoted to promote tourism development in Mongolia suggestions:Increase the wrong season tourism products, and increase the tourism infrastructure is recommended to optimize the tourist attractions and lines, to increase the variety of souvenirs and tourism products to improve tourism management system, to enhance the quality of service, to expand in foreign publicity.The fifth chapter is conclusion. In this part author summarizes the results of this study and gives the need to solve the problem methods.
