Chinese mid-small Enterprises, especially knowledge-based enterprises are the realization of knowledge innovation, industrial structure is very important to change one of the forces, and knowledge creation, use and value added of the carrier eventually have to rely on knowledge workers to achieve.Most small and medium-sized enterprises using traditional monetary model has been not meet the needs of knowledge workers. It became a primary concern to SMEs that how to build a system matched with the demand characteristics of knowledge workers to make incentive effectively.The total rewards system includes a comprehensive "internal" and "external"compensation all factors designed,which to maximize the incentiveness and meet the needs of knowledge workers.Tt become a hot topic in academia.The total rewards system for SME’s knowledge workers are the research object of this paper. This paper used theoretical and empirical research and other research methods, and made deep research on content as follows:The study on the total rewards and knowledge workers relevant content. Stressed the importance of knowledge workers for SMEs as well as the type of knowledge workers has been divided, to build the S-P classification model.The compensation management problems of knowledge workers of Mid-small Enterprises and their causes are analyzed. Human resources management for Mid-small enterprises and knowledge workers compensation issues targeted to the description and analysis, empirical research on the use of several Mid-small enterprises in Shan dong area, which researched demand of knowledge workers for elements about total rewards.The discussion about total rewards system of building for knowledge workers. Based on compensation status and differentiated needs of knowledge workers,to build a total rewards system framework for knowledge workers with Yu Xiang Company of Shandong. Through the statistical analysis of survey data, can understand knowledge workers about the whole satisfaction degree and demand of the elements of total rewards. to provide the comprehensive data for total rewards system.Last,to design the total rewards system for knowledge workers.
