Compound Norfloxacin Nicotinic Injection and Its Pharmacodynamic Study

Objective: In order to preferablely prevent and cure animal diseases caused by clinical pathogenic bacteriums as well as improve therapeutic efficacy and avoid drug resistance, Nicotinic acid Norfloxacin, TMP, and Lactate was misxed according to a certain percentage. Finally a new compound norfloxacin nicotinic injection had been developed by testing its characteristics, stability and content. On this basis, the antibacterial activity (MIC and MBC) in vitro was detected and its best PH of the compound was selected, and its artificial infection of the efficacy of colibacillosis in piglets was observed.Results: The new compound norfloxacin nicotinic injection had been developed by mixing the nicotinic acid norfloxacin and TMP by 4: 1 ratio in lactic acid dissolution. The injection had the maximum absorption wavelength at 272 nm, and its absorbability almost unchanged within 24 h. Its solution also had good clarity, stability and no precipitation 6 months later. The MIC to E, coli was lower than 0.125 Hg/ml, and the MIC to Pasteurella and Salmonella was 0.5μg/ml, While the MIC to the Streptococcus and Staphylococcus aureus appeared a little lower at 1μg/mL and 2μg/mL respectively. The antibacterial activity of compound norfloxacin nicotinic on Escherichia coli was the best, the MBC value was 0.125μg/ml, then to Pasteurella and Salmonella was on the second place and the MBC was 1μg/ml. Bactericidal against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus were least effective. Compound norfloxacin injection had good curative effect for pigs yellow and white scour caused by Escherichia coli infection with the dosage of 10mg/kg, 2 times one day, used in 3d continuously.Conclusion: The new compound prepared by norfloxacin nicotinate mixture had good character and stability. The antibacterial activity to Escherichia coli. Salmonella, Pasteurella especially Escherichia coli was stronger than to Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus. The injection with dosage of 10mg/ml for treatment artificial infection of pigs yellow and white scour had better effective than unilateral injection.
