Evaluation of Land Use Eco-security in Fujian Province

Based on the analysis of land use eco-security and the correlation theory and domestic and foreign research progress reviews, this study constructed the evaluation index system of land use eco-security according to the scientific principles under the PSR model framework, then adopted the matter element analysis method and established the fuzzy matter element model, analyzed the level of the land use eco-security of Fujian province and 9 cities of Fujian in 2001,2004, and 2007 respectively in order to reveal the pattern of temporal-spatial variability of the land use eco-security of Fujian province. After that, the obstacle degree judgment model was constructed to diagnose the obstacle factors. The results were concluded as follows:(1)The level of the land use eco-security of Fujian province was generally high, which was relatively lower in 2001 compared to that of 2004 and 2007,and it showed the tendency of increasing; (2)The regional difference of the pattern of land use eco-security of Fujian province was obvious, and the level of the western and the northern region is much higher than that of the southeast coastal area, at the same time, the regional difference became less significant continually. The level of the land use eco-security of 9 cities belonged to 3 grades:good, sensitive and alarmed, which showed some volatility in the study period; (3)The regional land use eco-security was affected by many factors, and it showed the interaction among natural systems, economic systems and social systems; (4)The 3 systems of pressure, state, response were involved in the main obstacle factors of land use eco-security in 9 cities of Fujian province. The natural factors were dominant in southeast Fujian, while economy factors were dominant in north and west Fujian. Finally, some suggestions about land use were put forward based on the eco-security.
