\constraints . The paper is divided into four chapters . CHAPTER \Chapter II described the \acceptability : white Balance and Susie Chiang translations prefer sufficiency . Chapter based on the description of the translation theory and functional teleology behind the constraints of these two translations are discussed in this chapter that social and historical background , the status of the source text and translation norms , ethics , translation purpose and audience , is caused by translation the main reason for the differences . The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the full text . Through the comparison of the two translations , we can see that , by the influence of various factors such as social , historical and cultural background of the different translations of the same work in different historical periods , in order to adapt to the needs of the target culture and target audience , the translator uses a different translation strategies , resulting in the translation of showing a different style characteristics . Therefore, in literary translation , social history and culture , and other factors beyond the choice of translation strategies beyond the text to have a close relationship .
