As one of the most important types of Chinese words, verbs have always been playing an important role in Chinese study and teaching. Therefore, it is necessary for us to make an analysis of verbs from different perspectives.Based on the researching methods of illustrating nouns and adjectives in HSK by pictures, this paper analyzes the semantic category of verbs in HSK and aims to discuss what verbs of HSK can be illustrated or implied by pictures. In the end, we will discuss the establishment of a verb of HSK-picture bank according to the results above.This paper includes six parts: 1.Introduction. 2. Ways of picture illustrating or implying the verbs of HSK. 3.The researching method of what verbs can be illustrated or implied by pictures. 4.Connections between the semantic category of verbs of HSK and the ways of picture illustrating or implying. 5.Establishment of verbs of HSK-picture bank and the design of an information retrieval system. 6.Summary and prospect.
