The traditional Chinese medicine is the crystallization of the prevention and cure of diseases theory and practice in the thousands of years for Chinese nation, has the remarkable clinical curative effect. But with the characteristics of abstraction and obscuration, it is difficult to realize by the instrument to realizing automatic diagnosis and treatment. Embedded system used practical application for the target, taken the computer technology as the foundation, with software and hardware been cut, is a kind of strict specialized computer system for the function, reliability, cost, volume, power consumption, etc. It’s possible to realize the intelligent, portable TCM (Tradition Chinese Medicine) treatment instruments based on embedded systems.This study aims to research a type of special intelligence system in Chinese medicine cure by the embedded technology on the basis of the four diagnostics principle. In the system the diagnostic information is collected by tools of the camera, the touch screen and kinds of sensors and then it is intelligently processed, the related components are automatically controlled hoping to realize the multi-curative effects of the TCM.It is has been realized the whole design of the hardware and software for the embedded Chinese medicine treatment machine in this paper. In terms of hardware, it has been designed the hardware composition principle of architecture, the pulse input system and physical therapy output system as well as each module circuit of the core and expansion board. In software, a kind of cross-compiling environment has been built according to the tradition Chinese medicine theory. The bootloader, system kernel, root file system have been cut and transplanted and the system software and certain specific hardware driver have also been designed. The graphical application is designed by the tool of QT contributing to a well human-machine interface, the data acquisition, data processing, output control modules in application are designed by combining with the Matlab and SQLite database. Finally, the effectiveness of the system has been verified by the crossing test of the TianXiang electronic ARM920T2440 development board and PC host machine.
