Taboo is a complex cultural phenomenon common human society, there are various cultures in the world has ever known. The taboo is the a society trying taboo behavior, things or relationships. Language taboos as an important aspect of the taboo, are also common in the languages ??of the peoples of the world. With the progress of society, becoming more frequent contact between the various cultures, there is a growing focus on training in cross-cultural communication, interpersonal skills, in order to increase mutual understanding between the people of different cultural backgrounds, so as to achieve peaceful coexistence, to avoid conflict. Intercultural Communication in what cultural environment, however, Taboo processing adequacy are decided communicative success of one of the key factors. In different cultures, people treat the taboo things and extent of taboo are different. Therefore, the taboo of this uncertainty and diversity has led to people both in cross-cultural communication barrier to understanding, and even cause communication failure. Based on this, many different areas of academics from different angles Taboo study such as philosophy, sociology, linguistics, psychology and many other fields. This paper attempts to rely on cross-cultural communication theory and the theory of context, preliminary exploration and study of the use of taboo language in cross-cultural communication. Aims to reduce or possibly eliminate the communication barriers caused by a lack of the knowledge of the Taboo Intercultural Communication activities, so that both sides of communication to reduce misunderstanding and to ensure the smooth progress of the activities of cross-cultural communication. This paper is divided into four chapters, has explored the taboo words and their associated concepts, summarized results of previous studies, and then propose their own research ideas. Of means of Linguistics, pragmatic theories and perspectives related to the field of learning and cross-cultural communication, compared with a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon of language taboos, and according to the three main features of the taboo words - universality, particularity and variability, Intercultural Communication Language taboo into common taboo words and quasi-taboo. Common taboo words in different cultures is considered taboo things about sex, excrement, disease and death; quasi-taboo words unique only as a kind of cultural taboos, such as the ancient Chinese were taboo personal income, the Anglo-American countries, Ms. Words of age taboo. By means of the theory in the context of the social linguistics, the author examines the actual use of taboo words in the language communication, pointed out that the use of taboo words by the the communicative participants of gender, motivation, communication forums and cultural background, and many other factors. The article shows Intercultural Communication in Taboos classification, causes, and the Taboos convergence of contact between the different cultures of the increasingly frequent. Language taboos is an objective reality, but no matter which nation, what kind of culture, the absolute taboo words do not exist. Language taboos is relative, conditional, and is affected by a variety of factors. Only part of the problem in cross-cultural communication, exploration, language taboos also involved in many other aspects affecting the cross-cultural communication, should carry out multi-level, multi-angle three-dimensional perspective, in order to make a more comprehensive this cultural phenomenon more profound study and exploration.
