With the development of society and requirement of human health,more and more people will choose swimming to exercise.The popularity of swimming increased the number of swimming teachers and professionals.The particularity of swimming teaching and the consideration of safety and body-build decide that the swimming teaching ability play a significant role.<national public swimming pools and technique standard> has a clear requirement that the swimming teacher must work along with the official certification,in another word,any swimming teacher with the preliminary certification is available to proceed their teaching activities in the public swimming pools.Therefore,it is important to enhance and concrete the comprehensive teaching ability of the preliminary swimming teacher,which also plays a significant role in developing the quality of the public swimming teaching activities. Perfecting the certification methods for the swimming teachers can not only stimulate them to go for their goal,but also provides the rules for management.Furthermore,it can improve the ability of swimming teachers and guarantee the quality of universality swimming classes.From the reference of documents materials,questionnaire survey,interviews of specialists,mathematical statistics,logical analysis,and cases analysis this article puts forward video test to supplement and provide the reference to the certificating methods of preliminary swimming teachers.On the basis of recognizing methods now,which integrates the preliminary swimming teaching traits,via the constructing teaching ability regulations and analyzing the foreign popular swimming teachers, we promote this video test.The research proves the following points:1.the ability of preliminary swimming teachers should include the teaching design ability,teaching implement ability,teaching evaluated ability.Among them,teaching implement ability is the most important point.2.now,there are many people take part in the certification test of preliminary swimming teachers,but they have different knowledge foundation and the test time is limited,the main test method is oral test,which could not test the overall ability of students.3.according to local situation,different regions in different countries have different test methods,but each method has its advantage and disadvantage.Imitated teaching test can test the students overall teaching ability,but it is difficult to operate.4.In terms of the disadvantages in the preliminary swimming teachers test,I put forward video test as the supplement to the test method.Video test tests students via video basis and the aim is to display the swimming teaching video before students,and raise a set of questions,so the students answer these questions on the paper.5.In terms of the situation of preliminary swimming teacher’ s certification test.I formulate video test operation design and the content design.
