Bjarke Ingels an emerging architect in Europe, after several years’practice, his design group Bjarke Ingels Group has been gradually recognized by the professional field. In retrospect of Bjarke Ingels’s practice experience, we could find that what drew most his attention is not only the formation of the architectural volume but also how to take advantage of creativity and the professinal ability of architect to satisfy all the interest of the involved people , including the user, the developer, the government and the citizen. This is the well manifestation of Bjarke Ingels’“YES IS MORE”design philosophy. What is this thesis trying to do is to conclude the design approach and strategy of Bjarke Ingels by incoporating his background information and his practice work.This thesis is comprised with five chapters , three parts: the first part(first chapter) illustrates the how the topic was chosen, the purpose and significance , the existing situation of the topic and method of study, and the framework of this thesis. The second part (Chapter two to Chapter four)discusses the primary theoretical background and the practice experience and design strategy of Bjarke Ingels. More specifically, the Chapter two discusses the influence from the background of Bjarke Ingels, including the study background , professional background. Chapter three mainly discusses the component of the Bjarke Ingels’design philosophy, including the idea“YES IS MORE”,“Architectural Evolution”and his desire of pursuing fun. And in the Chapter four, the thesis mainly discusses his design strategy of“Making opponent’s force as your own force”by incoporating his practice work samples. The last part of the thesis(Chapter five) mainly discusses the positive influence of the design philosophy and strategy of Bjarke Ingels in the our fields of education and practice.
