In recent years, as computer technology, especially computer graphics, simulation technology, virtual reality technology and rapid development of network technology, the traditional two-dimensional electronic map is injected new vitality, hosted in the three-dimensional electronic map on the Internet is becoming an important direction of development of electronic map. People’s functional requirements for electronic map to further improve the geographical scene simulation of three dimensional map not only through an intuitive expression. To provide users with travel map query, navigation, map search function, and integrated lifestyle information, e-Government, e-commerce, virtual communities, navigation and a series of travel services, advocacy for Government, enterprises and institutions, the business enterprise interactive channel, to act in people’s daily lives, online and Internet entertainment activity provides a convenient solution. Therefore, building simulation networking urban systems become the highlights of the new Internet business development, and meet government building "digital city", advancing the process of construction with the city e-commerce needs, made to e-commerce and e-Government, such as entrance, developing a strong functional and stable performance, compatibility of three dimensional virtual system application software.This article first on three-dimensional simulation maps knowledge, modeling of three dimensional maps, digital elevation models and WEBGIS technology is described on the existing three-dimensional simulation of urban system in network core technology introduced and related technologies to the study. In system related content and technology for explained zhihou, by analysis three dimensional simulation network City status, for three dimensional simulation network city system exists of problem, in system demand analysis of Foundation Shang design out Shantou three dimensional simulation network city system schema, application network topology method, and database management system DBMS technology on City entity of coordinates storage, and positioning, and search, and property information access for mathematics built die, application 3D panoramic image technology, and graphics engine model technology, seamless of integrated city electronic map. Three-dimensional simulation on network structure of urban system in Shantou using b/s framework, server operating systems using Windows 2003 Server, with SQL Server 2003 as a database platform, with Visual Studio as your development tool, based on WebGIS and by virtual reality technology implementation. System features include map browsing, maps, search, enterprise features such as display, information channels, and systems management platform, system design and development work includes a system requirements analysis, system architecture design, database design and system implementation and testing work.At present, the Shantou city simulation network system have been put into use, three-dimensional simulation map browsing system, map search, corporate shows and information channels and other functions. The successful construction of the system, accelerate the process of digital construction of Shantou, filled the blank in Shantou city simulation network, enhance the image of the city of Shantou publicity; to further promote the integration of e-commerce and e-development of Shantou, changing people’s lifestyle.
