Design and realization of of vocational electronics professional network teaching platform based on WebQuest

With the development of Internet online education is focused on by the education industry in recent years.Because of its flexibility and effectiveness, any students in different levels can study themselves by means of online education. Therefore,how to study exploratively by means of online education has bacome a warm topic nowadays.As the expand enrollment of the univesities,it is necessary to develope the web institute and enhance communication among the schools. The traditional education mode and scale even can’t meet the needs of teaching requirement in the information age.WebQuest is a kind of new teaching mode.This is a kind of explorative study which bases on the web.Its theory basis is constructivism. It advocates that students should learn by themselves according to the Internet resuices under the teachers’guide, they should accomplish the teachers’studing objects and tasks. Students are expected to improve their explorative studying ability and the ability to solve problems. The kind of studying mode plays a very important part in the learning process.The paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages off WebQuest’s teaching mode and network teaching platform, proposes internet teaching platform’s design guided by WebQuest,designs one that can solve the problem of the effective use of teaching resources and provide the effective management method based on the network teaching platform. The platform provides a complete teaching support for teachers and students. It is easy tp operate and can reduce the complication that the teachers and students meet with in the activities of network teaching. Then the teachers can put more effort into the teaching design. It emphasizes the teaching mode: students oriented, teachers guided, which can improve the students’ability to learn by themselves.Based on the development of WebQuest’s electronics network teaching platform in vocational schools, the network teaching platform is easy-operated and good interaction. It adopts the design of B/S system, clears the overall structure and the module division of the system, then designs the database in detail. It has a lot of functions: creating Web Quest learning plan, course management, exams management, test online, FAQ online and so on. The platform adopts Eclipse as a development tool, uses ASP.NET technology for server-side programming, improves the efficiency of the developers, reduces the bugs, accelerates the application development and easy use. Using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database and the ADO.NET technology, the platform realizes all kinds of operation to the database. Through practice, it proves that the implementation of the platform can have a better teaching effect in teaching.
