Tobacco crush resistance have relations with a variety of factors, it is generally believed that tobacco crush resistance is positively correlated with the quality of tobacco, sufficient oil content and resilient leaf, and its machining performance is generally good. Tobacco crush resistance changed with tobacco types, variety, Tobacco borne the parts, degree of drying and fermentation method, it also strongly correlated with the moisture content of tobacco, the number of the hydrophilic material (protein, pectin and starch, etc.) also related to it. Use the basic law of that all sorts of tobacco anti fragmentation enhanced with its temperature and moisture rise, in order to reduce pieces of tobacco, it must be enter to the proper temperature and moisture before the mechanical part of a larger force.According to experience, tobacco varieties, the birth place and different grades, even in the same temperature, the same moisture conditions, tobacco crush resistance will also have certain differences. Generally speaking, flue-cured tobacco with good resistance to crushing, followed by sun-cured tobacco, burley tobacco is poorer. The same variety tobacco in the same temperature and moisture content, fragmentation resistance of central tobacco is good, , the middle leaves with good resistance to crushing, followed by upper leaves, lower leaves is poorer. Crush resistance status changed with the leaf thickness, organizational structure of dense and loose, a variety of elements content changes and, whether have the initial processing.Due to the different tobacco crush resistance of different groups, the loss in the threshing process is heavy. Therefore, every batch of raw material before put into the production line must select the appropriate process parameters and design the best process conditions based on material properties and processing characteristics of each grade tobacco, to reduce tobacco consumption and improve the utilization of tobacco.This paper first introduces the concept and measuring method of several main physical parameters of flue-cured tobacco, described the parameters that can represent crush resistance in detail, laid the foundation for the study on the relationship of various parameters and crush resistance; on this basis the results of the experiment related tests were analyzed. Then verified a group of physical parameter by experiments that can represent tobacco crush resistance This paper focuses the discussion on aspects of the mechanical strength of tobacco crush resistance, got the comprehensive index from the consideration of various factors. According to the comprehensive index to develop the device to test crush resistance, then set a mathematical model to express the relationship between the parameters and crush resistance, draw the corresponding circuit according to the mathematical model, plan the digital display based on the mathematical mode, express crush resistance in digital form.
