Plate tower is an important chemical gas-liquid mass transfer equipment , in recent years , there have been new plate , fixed valve trays is very important , it integrated valve trays and sieve tray two advantages to overcome their shortcomings , has good prospects It is in this context that the actual need for the current development of the new type of tower equipment from the experiment and CFD simulation of a new solid valve trays were studied. The experimental part of this article in a the diameter 600mm plexiglass tower with air - water system measured this new type of solid valve trays four the hydrodynamic performance indicators - tray pressure drop , entrainment , leakage and serum layer height , with the valve hole kinetic energy factor , overflow weir height and liquid flow intensity changes in the law , and in accordance with the regression of the experimental data the pressure drop , entrainment , leakage and clear liquid height the relational to guide industrial application . In addition, by comparing the effects of the solid valve spacing and trays solid valve arrangement direction of the plate the four hydrodynamic performance indicators provide a direction for this plate structure continue to optimize . Analog portion of the existing research at home and abroad on the basis of dual Euler two-phase flow model and mixed -phase k-ε turbulence closure model based on the establishment of a three-dimensional gas-liquid two-phase flow in the solid valve trays field simulation of the CFD model in which momentum source term Krishna proposed calculation method, wherein the average volume phase containing rate is obtained by the association of this article the experimental data . In order to prove the applicability of the model , this paper simulation calculated diameter 600mm trays gas-liquid two-phase flow field exactly trays structure , size and operating conditions and experimental simulation under different operating conditions the board cleared the height of the liquid layer in good agreement with the experimentally determined value , indirect proof of the model can accurately simulate the solid the valve trays gas-liquid two-phase flow field , but also from the limited operating conditions . Based on this model , this paper investigated through the simulation of different solid valve arrangement direction of flow field on tray arched region .
