TianGuang dc system is the southern power grid first long distance, high power, high pressure HVDC project. Since since it was put into operation for power transmission from west to east send and guangdong region's economic development has made a great contribution. By design, equipment defect of the factors such as TianGuang dc in the operation process of the exposed a lot of problems, it has happened so many times unipolar forced outage, even bipolar forced outage accident. Based on the analysis of TianGuang dc engineering since put a series of problems, this paper summarizes TianGuang caused by dc system energy availability low four aspects of the main reasons: 1) TianGuang dc in rheological design has a major hidden danger caused by many TianGuang dc forced outage or limit load operation of the normal operation of the TianGuang dc a direct impact. 2) ac filter trip rate is too high. On the one hand because of capacitor products quality problem, on the other hand, because the design problems. 3) dc control and protection system in design defects and hidden trouble, serious impact on the TianGuang dc system safety and reliable operation. 4) valve cold system failure rate is higher, many times to appear in dc system fault. According to the four main defects, this article elaborated on the cause of the defects, influence, and on the basis of the existing practice puts forward some improvement measures, and based on this, puts forward a set of TianGuang dc comprehensive plan.
