Automotive Electric Power Steering (Electric Power Steering System, EPS) control system is a new type of automobile power steering technology . Compared with traditional hydraulic power steering system , electric power steering system has a low speed steering lightweight, smooth high speed steering , energy conservation , is conducive to environmental protection and many other advantages . Automotive steering technology research hotspot in recent years , has important research value and broad application prospects . This paper first introduces the basic components of automotive electric power steering system works , using DSP chip hardware resources , design based the TMS320LF2407A microprocessor chip (DSP) control automotive electric power steering system . The use of the characteristics of the DC motor torque is proportional to the motor current , using the method of controlling an electric motor armature current , the assist control . The system the assist characteristic curve , assist control system proposed one kind of return is compensation control strategy , using fuzzy PID control algorithm for closed-loop control of the motor current ; using PWM technology control motor voltage to adjust the current size of the booster to reach help . the purpose of the steering . This paper carried out the hardware design of the system , including the H-bridge driver circuit and sensor signal processing circuit , relay and clutch control circuit design , software development and design of the control system on the basis of complete hardware circuit and control strategy . Finally, experimental results indicate that the booster system has good characteristics, to verify the correctness of the design of the entire system .
