Tianjin Port widely distributed engineering behavior is poor , newly reclamation to form sludge has a high water content and very low intensity nature of clay . Vacuum preloading method as the drainage consolidation method with a soft soil in Tianjin Port in recent years has been widely used, and achieved good economic and social benefits . This article in the review and sum up the vacuum preloading history of the development of the technology and research status on the basis of , through theoretical analysis and field trials , Tianjin Port practical engineering background , to explore and study the application of vacuum preloading in soft soil . Elaborated vacuum preloading mechanism , based on field trials , discusses the on-site construction of the vacuum preloading step , the degree of vacuum in the vacuum preloading during the film , surface subsidence , layered settlement , pore water pressure and lateral displacement monitoring project results were analyzed , compared to unreinforced and reinforced soil physical and mechanical indexes and in situ vane shear strength . Consolidation deformation finite element software Plaxis simulation calculation and analysis of the actual project , using the plane strain model and Mohr - Coulomb soil constitutive model to simulate the vacuum pre - change of pressure in the pore water pressure and vacuum preloading soil body process . Simulation, vacuum loading method for loading calculations agree well with the actual results obtained with vacuum preloading .
