Paper relying on science and technology projects in Chongqing Municipal Transportation Committee, "Changshou-Wanzhou Expressway Asphalt Pavement impact assessment",made a research of asphalt pavement performance evaluation indexes, according to the research, the indexes being studied in the paper have been decided. During the study, the follwing works have been arranged: the field continous research, the measure of technic indexes of field of Changwan Expressway, with interval of half year during three years, the indexes included PCI, RQI, SSI, PQI, PSI, MCI, R4 and so on.During the study, it was found that there is a missgiving of the conversion corfficient of rutting in PCI index formul. Accroding to the measuring field datas, this paper put forward the continous formulla of the conversion corfficient of rutting in PCI index formul, that is K=0.000064RD3, this formulla avoid the conventional section division method of that. Through the item’s validating, the formulla is reasonable to Changwan Expressway.Through the analysis of the performance attenuation rule of the evaluation indexes, it was found that there is big difference between the demenstic evaluation index and the foreign evaluation index, the main difference is the two types index have distinct emphases: to the demenstic index, the styles the performance attenuation curves to different section are the same to the same index; to the foreign index, it seems to be the same attenuation curve to the same section.Considering the indeterminacy of season attenuation coefficient of deflection, the paper studied the deflection attenuation coefficient of Changwan Expressway, and enduced the season attenuation coefficent of Changwan Expressway, that is 0.49( from Jun to Dec).Paper analyzed the demenstic and the foreign index and found the rules of Changwan Expressway: according to the demenstic evaluation index, SMA section was the best one, and Sup section is the worst one; and according to the foreign index, Sup section is the best one, and AK section was the worst one; acording to R4 index, AK section was the best one, Sup section is the worst. Tn the light of above we can know, during the study of the pavement performance, the seclection of the evaluation index is very impormant to the evaluation results. So this paper adverses that, during we evadulate the pavement performance, we should select the appropriate index according to the field case and other conditions.According to the analysis results, it could be found that, to the end of field observing, the maintaince of Changwan Expressway are just routine maintaince and partial repair. This conclusion was found to be scientific and reasonable according to the follow-up observations.
