We are in a cultural transformation time, which is characterized by the factors of image and video. The survival of our environment is surrounded by a variety of dynamic, non-dynamic image like advertisement and animation which are because of the popularity of television application. With the rapid development of science and technology, visual culture spread to the whole society from the visual arts. Not only costumes, street brand advertising, television images, newspapers, magazines, networks, and other merchandise brochure are full of visual images in our life, the video, the music and other non-visual factors has conversed to this field. The advent of visual culture not only changed the way of audience’s visual experience, but also changed the artists’creative ideas, creative ways and create methods. In this paper, visual culture and imaging technology is the background, contemporary Chinese oil paintings are bases. I want to analysis and focus on the visual culture in the context of contemporary Chinese oil paintings.The full text of focusing on some aspects of the following topics: The first part mainly describes the concept of visual culture, as well as the dynamics at home and abroad; The second part is contemporary oil painting art which is impacted by vision culture on today. The third part is the impaction of contemporary oil paintings by the visual culture and the new situation of this. In part four, Chinese oil paintings and new media technology integration and development are discussed on the impact of visual culture.Contemporary oil paintings will be having more space in the integration and development.
