Since 1995,China Education Network has launched construction of CERNET, China campus network has gone through more than 10 years.The campus network infrastructure of colleges and universities nationwide has been completed,higher education informatization in China has achieved initial results.To further enhance the campus network intelligence and better reflect the construction principle that makes user as core to organize information resource and plan information service. In recent years, some institutions use project 211 and 985 funds and increase investment for the information infrastructure construction, integrate various core business management systems, in order to proceed with the establishment of information networks, digital information resources, intelligent user terminals that indicated Digital Campus construction. So the discussion and feasibility analysis of digital campus network is particularly important.This paper analyses college campus network construction development status and existing problems of Tianjin Polytechnic University, puts forward the idea of digital campus network building based on hardware cluster, data and application integrated, to accomplish a complete digital campus network structure designing. The paper adopts consolidate information service and server as software and hardware essential,and analyses the two important parts of digital campus system in detail, then concludes the overall planning and execution Program of digital campus for Tianjin Polytechnic University. This resolution is useful for digital campus building of other universities.Digital campus application development is based on J2EE platform. The paper builds up access control model based on the Directory Access Protocol and rights management system based on EJB groupware. It adopts SSL to ensure transmission safely and uses middleware mode to exchange data resources in XML data exchanging model. When it comes to select hardware platform, it suggests“high quality PC sever & Blade server clustering”. We build up unified recognition cluster, data exchanging sever, HTTP server, portal and application server cluster, as well as integrated teaching management server and library server to complete the overall deployment of the system hardware.
