The modern information warfare, with the characteristics as high tech, high speed, high strength, requires our army to establish an exact and effective military management and logistics system. Taking the full advantage of radio frequency identification (RFID) system, which has the inherent advantage of active reading, far distance reading, batch reading, penetrability reading, can realize the dynamic apperceiving, tracking, monitoring of our army’s equipment, person and material.This thesis starting from the requirement of military RFID middleware joins the complex event processing (CEP) technology and military RFID middleware technology together. From the angle of researching on the key technology of RFID middleware, a RFID event detection based on colored Petri net model is established and the researching on simulation using the model is done in this thesis, which offering technological support for the development of RFID middleware. The main works of this thesis are listed as follow:1) Through the analysis and research of the RFID middleware system in existence, a military middleware design plan is proposed in this thesis which is not only filtering and processing the RFID raw data but also doing complex event detecting with the RFID primitive events, which makes the RFID middleware system offer better support and service to application system.2) Through the analysis of the data requirement from RFID application system and adoption of the hierarchy thought, a RFID event detection model based on three layered architecture is established and analysis and design is done on the model in this thesis.3) Through the analysis the characteristics of RFID raw data, a RFID raw data filtering arithmetic is put forward in this thesis.4) Based on the characteristics of RFID primitive data, a complex event detection arithmetic which detects the complex events from RFID primitive events is proposed in this thesis.5) Based on the established concept model of the RFID event detection, a CPN model using the colored Petri net modeling and simulation tool CPN Tools is established and the simulation analysis and research is done in this thesis.An example of goods enter into material warehouse is taken in the end of this thesis. A model using the colored Petri net is established and the simulation and analysis on the model is done, which validates the applicability of the RFID event detection model.
