As the development of Bluetooth technology with short distance and low-power, system designers have to pay regard to technologies of video transmission based on Bluetooth. But the great disadvantage of the Bluetooth transmission system is the low transmission rate, thus this paper discuss it and the author pays attention to technologies of video transmission and video codec. Finally,This paper suggest how to design a embedded Bluetooth transmission system with software design and high performance.At first,this article describes the frame of this system, and then parameters and function of chips used by the Bluetooth modules, OMAP5910 board, MMSP2 development board,video sensor and coding board. Secondly, the theory of bluetooth protocol is presented, and then the probable problems of the system and the methods to solve them. After that, low-power technologies are introduced, and the most effective way to reduce system power consumption are both included.Based on deep analysis of bluetooth transmission rate, video codec and bluetooth protocol of this system, the system achieves good video transmission performace, power distributed system, excellent video quality and low-power of the whole system, so the system get excellent stability. As a result, an embedded Bluetooth transmission system with high performace and low-power is accomplished.
