Study and Implementation of Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation of Dynamic-TDMA Based on OPNET

During the argumentation and development of the Dynamic-TDMA (DTDMA) system, there are some problems and shortages. The first thing is DTDMA access control protocol adopts new technology and system and lacks theory validation and data support. The second thing is that during the development of DTDMA equipment many test equipment and channel equipment are required, but real examination environment is difficult to construct. It is necessary that the development of DTDMA access network Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation system is done. A platform for validating technology mechanism, testing device and demonstrating evaluation of DTDMA network system are provided through the establishment of simulation models and environment. Simulation models and environment can be used to inspect the advancement of technology mechanism and the inter-connection of developed device and the accord of standard.The paper develops self-definition serial communication Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation interface and DTDMA protocol models based on the study of the OPNET Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation technique and DTDMA access protocol. The Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation skeleton is constructed cored on simulation interface and DTDMA models. Analysis and evaluation of Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation function and DTDMA access network performance is done. The key technologies of DTDMA protocol simulation and modeling, self-definition Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation mechanism based on serial communication and Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation interface embed broadcasting station simulator are broken.The self-definition Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation interface consists of OPNET simulation proxy node, self-definition interface dll and simulation configuration. The interface accomplishes the communication of OPNET models and DTDMA physical device based on OPNET external system access mechanism and broadcasting station serial communication theory. The DTDMA models are composed of application layer, transport layer, network layer, data link layer, queue, network management and channel model. The models can simulate TDMA/DTDMA node and accomplish the function of sending and receiving information, controlling traffic, routing, access controlling, network management and wireless channel.Requirement analysis, software design, software programme and debugging are done according to software development criterion. Code static checking, unit testing, integrated testing and eligibility testing are completed. The usability of the system is validated.
