Smart Home is the using of network-connected devices to connect various electronic equipments in the family life, in order to achieve intelligent management, remote monitoring and resource sharing of household equipments and living environment as well. Currently, those popular smart-home products in market have not been so perfect to meet consumers’needs towards intelligent life. In view of this, based on ZigBee technology, and ATmega8, ATmega128L, wireless transmission chip CC2420 as the core hardware, we design the smart home system. The system simulated realize as follows function: control cable connection analog appliances; Through ZigBee modules remote control simulation, and using sensors to collect the household environment, then feedback; Design multiple extensible modules, used to join the follow-up of electrical appliances.This smart home system is designed by three functional modules, namely, user control module, analog appliance module and ZigBee control module. The user can inquire and control the working status of the household appliances in analog appliance module through user control module. Analog appliance module is used for simulating the state of household appliances which is showed on the interface. ZigBee module is for wireless communication,remote control, and monitoring the system environment, then sents the information to the host controller in the form of frame.Experimental results show that the smart home system we have designed is simple in interface and easy to operate and can meet users’requirements of controling for specific appliances, meanwhile can monitor the whole home environment real-timingly through the interface. The results also show that our system has achieved the desired design goals.
