We report one-dimensional small displacement measurement of TEM00 mode with balanced homodyne detection. The smallest measurable displacement with our experimental setup is 0.3 nm. The conjugate property of displacement and tilt is tested. We also analyze the effect of the deviation of local oscillator beam from TEM10 mode on the displacement measurement result. Experimental result agree well with the theoretical analysis.This article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter, brief introduction and background of measurement of displacement and tilt; The second chapter, the theory of displacement measurement with homodyne detection; The third chapter, basic experimental techniques of experiment; The fourth chapter, experimental procedure and results; The fifth chapter, experimental summary and prospect.
