For nearly ten years, food safety scandals happened so frequent that food safety issue becomes a hot issue around the world. On the basis of that, the recalling system attracts more and more attention. As a system targeted on defective food products, the recalling system works as a preventive measure, in order to prevent damage to consumers, and takes defective food back ahead of actual harm.Food recalling system firstly established in U.S. on 1960s, and Canada, Australia and U.K. established its recalling system afterwards. China’s food recalling system set up late, and the system is not perfect with that many links are not mature. Currently, China’s food safety is not with good condition. Speeding up of construction and perfecting food recalling legal system is really inevitable, as the final frontier of food safety issue, when big food scandals happened occasionally.This article starts from the concepts in food recalling system, on the basis of analysis of the basic principles and up-to-date demand, and points out China’s current situation and the reasons for it. Combined with national conditions, this article illustrates and learns from western countries’food recalling system, and then raises suggestions on our recalling system.
