Children age 7-12 periodontal health education interventions ( oral health education , brushing instruction , plaque control self-assessment ) on plaque and gingivitis control effect [Objective ] The research school oral health education , screening out suitable Zunyi urban oral health education intervention methods and inspection standards for primary oral epidemiological survey . Health education in the form of the preparation of teaching materials on their own application Zunyi Medical College Affiliated Stomatological Hospital Oral Preventive and Pediatric Dentistry , Department of Education agreed to a printed health education pamphlets for students in the intervention group classroom , before and after the health education lectures , oral health questionnaire investigation and oral health check , check after 3 months Turesky improved QH index and gingival index (GI), and compare . [Results] bleeding gums, gingival index (GI) in the detection rate of 57.49% before the intervention of the comparative differences statistically significant . Before the intervention, the experimental group observed indicators compare ( than gingival index ) , the difference was not statistically significant ( P gt; 0.05 ) . QH Plaque Index intervention Turesky improved after the intervention of the C group than in the intervention group B , the intervention group B is lower than the intervention group A , three intervention group were lower than the control group , pairwise comparisons were significant difference (p lt ; 0.05 ) ; plaque percentage dropped from 77% to 53% , oral health Questionnaire oral health care knowledge awareness rate rose from 39% to 66% , at least 2 times a day brushing rose to 62.34% from 48.68% . [Conclusion] The results of this survey show that : a higher incidence of Zunyi City Primary 7-12 years gingivitis , poor oral hygiene , oral health knowledge . The periodontal health educational interventions ( oral health education in schools , effective brushing , plaque control self-assessment ) is an effective method of improving the 7-12 year - old children's oral health status , which the plaque control self-assessment is the most effective . QH index is more suitable for the the primary oral epidemiological survey inspection standards .
