The basic view of the social identity theory : individuals through social classification , the crowd divided into within groups and outside groups to identify with their own group attitudes toward ingroup preference and outgroup bias ; When the individuals themselves vulnerable groups within members , outside groups favored the possibility of social identity theory explains the low recognition of vulnerable members of their group or do not agree with , the more we do not agree within groups , the possibility of outside groups favored the higher . This study is based on the basis of social identity theory , three studies to explore the characteristics and differences in preference of the student population in urban and rural areas . The object of this paper is the urban of nationality and rural cadastral college students , Hebei Baoding a university undergraduates 193 is selected for the survey , 97 Rural College Students , city college students from 96 people . A preparation of the research groups preference questionnaire measuring urban and rural college students to explicit preference level of the groups and outside groups ; study with two emotional error attributed to implicit group attitudes of urban and rural students , brought to enrich a single external display measuring the the defect ; measuring urban and rural students study three CFII scale implicit level of low self-esteem , and to explore the relationship between implicit inferiority implicit group preference . These three studies , the following conclusions : ( 1) Whether the city nationality Rural College Students in explicit groups showed more ingroup preference preference scale . ( 2) by an implicit measure , city college students from more preference within groups , and the attitude of the student population in rural cadastral not significant . ( 3) Rural College Students implicit inferiority and the Implicit groups favored the existence of related performance related inferiority complex the higher the degree the more likely outgroup preference ; implicit inferiority complex urban college students from groups with implicit preference does not exist .
