In recent years, with the overseas students and staff returned, the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen become popular attractions. The problems as repatriates’ values, returned life, interpersonal relationships, work and entrepreneurship are caused by many scholars’ attention. Foreign scholars’studies showed that after returning, repatriates would face strong reverse culture shock and inadaptability to the homeland culture and life. Then this phenomenon will happen in China? How is the situation of Chinese repatriates? At present domestic research is also very insufficient to this kind of question’s discussion. So to research the situation and antecedent of Shanghai repatriates’s readjustment and accordingly come up with valuable coping propositions become a valuable research topic.Based on such background, this article mainly studied three questions. First, confirmed repatriate adjustment and the dimension theory; next, explored the primary influence factors of repatriate adjustment; finally, verified the relationship of repatriate adjustment and job satisfaction. This research turned over to 137 Shanghai repatriates to carry on the questionnaire survey, through the mathematical statistic analysis, drew the following main conclusion:(1) The overall situation of the Shanghai repatriates’adjustment is quite good, but there is still a third of repatriates felt the reverse culture shock, which caused to their bad repatriate adjustment.(2) In four dimensions of repatriate adjustment, work adjustment is the most significant influence factor, next is organization adjustment and interpersonal adjustment.(3) To influencing factor’s inspection, we discovered that the degree of adjustment abroad, the work expectation, the organization support, as well as the change of repatriates’social position and financial situation had the remarkable influence to repatriate adjustment.(4) Repatriate adjustment and four dimensions also assumed a significant positive correlation to job satisfaction.According to the research conclusion, the article put forward to the repatriates and the related organization four proposals:Attention to the repatriates’ readjustment, especially attention to vulnerable groups; emphasis on the education before returning, adjust their expectations; Value the repatriates’ personnel occupation plan, build psychological contract of the organizations and repatriates; reconstruct the formal and informal networks, make up communication platforms for repatriates.
