Group Key Management in Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor network is a blend of the emerging technology of computers , microelectronics and communications , and is widely used in the field of defense and military , environmental monitoring and medical surveillance . With the extensive application of wireless sensor networks , the security issues is increasingly important , and key management is an important technology to ensure the security of the network . Since the sensor nodes in the data processing capabilities , storage capacity, battery energy restricted features , the conventional key management method can not be directly applied to the wireless sensor network. Thus , the study efficient low-power wireless sensor networks , key management scheme has important significance . Paper summing up the existing wireless sensor networks group key management scheme based on the research group key management scheme with self-healing capabilities , and a small communication overhead of self-healing group key management programs. The proposed program introduces key chain tree structure , according to the private key of the position of each sensor node on the key chain leaves distribution node , and according to the distribution of all revoked node leaves construct broadcast package , effective reduced update session key due to the communication overhead . The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the paper presents the self-healing group key management scheme . The paper also carried out research, the group key management scheme for wireless sensor networks based on the clustering structure and a new less communication overhead clustering key management scheme . A multiple cluster head node within the cluster , the cluster head held by a cluster head node , key management , and timely to key these updates sent to other cluster head node within the cluster , to simplify the replacement of the cluster head re- clusters with the initialization process , reduce the network communication overhead . Simulation results verify the validity of the thesis proposes clustering key management scheme .
