Three-dimensional television as in recent years, the rise of a new video system , both in academic and industrial circles caused widespread concern. The research and development of 3D TV field after another, to provide a new experience for the people of audio and video entertainment , communication . The emergence of 3D television systems , video processing and compression coding system , a new challenge , a new research topic for video processing and encoding . How to improve the efficiency of the three-dimensional television video expression , enhanced three-dimensional television video viewing quality , reduce the transmission of three-dimensional television video bandwidth is an important content . Firstly, an overview of the three-dimensional television system and its features , and summarized the core problems faced in the research and development of three - dimensional television system summary and outlook , and existing technology , summarized the research focus on the content of the 3D TV field . In particular , video standardization process of three-dimensional television at home and abroad , research and analysis , introduced standardized forefront dynamic , future standardization process in the next few years . On this basis , the paper discussed the format and expression method for the expression of the three-dimensional television video based on fully research the characteristics of each format , this paper presents a depth sequence of time-domain consistency enhancement technology , the technology take full advantage of 3D TV characteristics of video formats , through the analysis of texture video scene motion information and apply it in depth time-domain adaptive filtering , targeted to solve the problem of poor existing depth sequence of time-domain consistency . In -depth study of the content and format of three-dimensional television video features based on the introduction of research and development of three-dimensional video efficient codec platform . The platform for 3D video format and features a series of optimization and design , and integrated this paper, based on the the projection distortion depth rate-distortion optimization and 3D video coding based on the projection of the depth viewpoint prediction of new technologies . These technologies take full advantage of the characteristics of three-dimensional television video and depth information , and improve the efficiency of 3D video coding , the maximum bit rate savings of up to 9.225% . The research and development of new algorithms and efficient codec platform has contributed to improve the efficiency of 3D video coding , and laid a solid foundation for further research and development related fields .
