It’s clearly point out in the reports of the Seventeenth Congress to promote the all-round development of people. Besides, the Seventeenth Congress had written "promoting the all-round development of people" in the Party Constitution. This thesis starts from the social ideal of "people centered and harmonious society" and evaluate our higher education from the aspects of right personality and people’s all-round development. Nowadays, the biggest problem of our education lies in that we are severely putting emphasis on "professional education" based on a job, whether in fundamental education, higher education or professional education, and other aspects of education are just decorations, lacking of enough respect. This thesis analyses the current situations of EQ cultivation of our university students, and puts forward the EQ cultivate model quaternary of society, school, family and individual. It focuses on researching how to develop students’ abilities of self-recognition, controlling emotions, bearing hardships, adapting to social surroundings, interpersonal relationships etc., so as to cultivate high EQ university students. It has been a urgent task of higher education to enhance university students’ EQ education and level. Only by enhancing professional and fundamental knowledge and cultivate students’ EQ level at the same time, can we encourage the educated people’s all-round and harmony development, in order to help university students out of troubles such as psychological problems, weak social adaptive capacity and occupation frustration.
